It’s a common misconception that healthy or mindful eating is a form of dieting. Dieting is cutting out or restricting certain types of food in order to lose weight. Healthy eating is changing bad eating habits by consuming less processed food and eating more vegetables, fruits and fibre.
Healthy eating is about balance, moderation and variety. But it’s important not to become obsessed with healthy eating as some people do with dieting, don’t take it to the extreme. Instead, it should be about enjoying nutritious food in a way that tastes great and helps you along your fitness journey.
This is why having a nutritionist is so beneficial, our nutritionists find the right tools specifically for you; which is very effective as it’s better to have a tailored plan and one on one support than a one size fits all “slimming guide”.
Feel free to adapt the recipes we send to make them work for you; replace ingredients to make them fit into your daily allowance. If you want to make changes to your entire diet and incorporate less processed ingredients then this is a great way to start, but don’t feel you have to change everything you eat or cut out entire food groups!
