Arnold is a financial manager in the city, so a combination of a sedentary lifestyle, high stress environment and lots of eating out has lead to any resemblance of his days as a national hand ball player a thing of the past.
Andy, his assigned PT, kept it very simple with Arnold’s nutrition, insuring he got most of his food from whole sources, whilst staying in a calorie deficit and keeping the protein intake high. The combination of these 3 helped to reduce any inflammation, keep hold of any muscle mass he had whilst reducing body fat.
With Arnold’s training with Andy, he was strength training 4 times per week, moving between high rep low rest and low reps with heavy weight, to give his muscles as much of a variety of stimulus as possible. Andy also planned on set cardio days when he felt it was needed.
During Arnold’s training, he felt much more awake and focussed at work, could perform better in the office and in the gym, and has improved his sleep and lowered stress levels.
